The king of stouts, aged for almost six months in Wild Turkey bourbon barrels, this velvety, rich, and roasty brew is ideal for the cold nights ahead. Clocking in at 10.2% ABV, Weendigo is warming, but not harsh- the whisky and oak flavours compliment the luscious roasted malt character, providing incredible complexity. This beer is ready for a prime spot in your cellar for aging. 500 ml, 10.2% alc./vol.
This is a pretty rich stout!
I am not usually a big fan of the imperial stouts; but I think the fact that this has mellowed in some bourbon barrels may have something to do with my attraction to it!
It does have a pretty high alcohol content – but honestly I didn’t realize that until I read it! This is a very easy to drink brew!!
This beer is dark and rich with a burnt caramel head. It’s funny what Chuck said about the high alcohol content and not knowing until he read it, because when I took my first sip the first thing I thought was, “now that’s boozy”. It took me a few sips to warm up to the flavour but when I did it was a nice beer that I enjoyed sipping slowly and as it warmed it seem to get even more flavourful.
