Some beers are good enough to eat. Made with lots of oats and malted grains that give a smooth, coffee and chocolate character. There was a time when the whole world drank porters. Those were good times. 500 ml, 7.2% alc./vol.

Toasty oaty malty flavour. A bitter finish that stays with you after the sip has gone down the hatch. Reasonably smooth for 7.2% (but I wouldn’t call this unqualifiedly smooth). I guess I would call this a standard quality porter – not brilliant, but not bad either.
This porter is very nice. I liked the effervescence and the caramel flavour. For 7.2% it was very smooth and my only regret is that I did not have it with my breakfast this morning; this beer is a great way to get your daily serving of oats.
I could most definitely drink this for breakfast… I truly enjoyed the caramel notes although it wasn’t as creamy as I was expecting a porter to be. For what it’s worth – I love the bottle and the artwork. Those of us that do judge a book by it’s cover will not be disappointed with this brew!
