This double chocolate milk stout brings all of your fantasies to life. A healthy helping of Belgian chocolate enriches its body, while English chocolate malts provide its dark-as-night colour and creamy milk sugar creates a mouthfeel so velvety smooth you’ll want to scream Holy Cow. 473 ml, 5.6% alc./vol
This. Is. Awesome.
Now let’s get real for a moment, the only chocolate stout that I like more than this is Winterbeard. To group it up there for me is very high praise!
This brew has a creamy mouthfeel (that sounds wrong) with the perfect blend of roasted goodness that makes this a fantastic chocolate stout.
I have had some chocolate brews in the past that had a bitter finish – this is not that at all. There is a sweet finish to it that is very pleasant.
This will become a regular over the season!!
Well said Chuck. This is a very enjoyable beer that looks like a heavy stout, but drinks like a smooth cream ale. Very good, I will be getting a few more over the Holidays for sure. So I did take a few drinks and when I was half done I mixed a bit of egg nog into the glass and it tasted awesome. This Christmas I came across a recipe for adding milk stout beer to egg nog and it looks like I will be doing this more often; very tasty indeed.
Like Chuck, I quite like this one. Just a really nicely balanced drinkable stout. Just the perfect amount of sweetness, bitterness, creamyness, everything. I am going to buy a few more of these for sure, and maybe compare it to some of the other winter beers over the next few days, in particular Winterbeard on Friday. This is going to be a tough one to beat for me.
